Melody sat in the back of the car while her best friends were talking and laughing in the front.
It was always like that, when the sidewalk was too small, Melody would walk alone, when they had to split up in groups of two at school, Melody had to team up with someone else.

Keith gestured that Melody should lay down and she did as he told after handing him the sunscreen.

Melody handed him her phone and he called his own number so he had her number too.
‘Goodbye.’ Melody said.
‘Text me.’ Keith walked off and left Melody with the girls.
‘What the hell Melody.’ Phoebe didn’t even give her anytime to watch Keith leave.
‘I called dibs on him, you can’t just ignore that.’

‘Come on!’ June pulled Melody up and they walked towards Phoebe, who was kneeling in the sand.
As Melody came closer she realized the two had been digging a hole, that was why June was all sweaty.
‘Okay, this is going to be great.’ Phoebe was beaming, even though she looked like a real mess.
